I loved loved loved this book.

 

It was such a fun fast read! Perfect for the Reading Rush!

 

I can’t believe I am only just now reading this trilogy. No one seemed obsessed with it, -which I’m not either- so I assumed it must not be an investing book. Gosh was I invested! It was so fun, exciting, and entertaining! I needed to know all about what Penryn and Raffe would do, and when romance would leak in ect.

 

There were some brilliant joke lines. My favorite is the one about Raffe essentially being a bird!

 

I liked seeing the resistance build, and tweedle-dee and dum! I am guessing Obi is supposed to be the second romantic partner?

The end with Raffe thinking that Penryn was dead was painful, and I need them to connect and confess feelings. It's a bit too early for love, but I'll cut slack since it's the apocalpse. I also need Raffe to crush Beliel and take his wings back and then crush Uriel. 

​

I admit it’s nothing really super new, and that is the biggest flaw. The storyline is essentially the same as most paranormal romances but I still loved it.

​

There are a few differences that I do find very interesting. For example Penryn's mom being crazy. Is she actually crazy or is she really speaking to demons? That would make a very interesting twist if she wasn't really crazy, it could also explain how Penryn basically had a premonition with the scorpian dreams. 

​

I can't wait to find out what the scorpians are about, they're suspicious. I'm pretty sure the kids are being made to look like nephlim so that Uriel can point out that Raffe is a failure.

I’m really nervous about what will happen with Paige, it scares me a lot. I’m hoping she can eat human food, though it seems unlikely. Maybe she will be able to eat raw meat? Fingers crossed! She already seems to be doing a lot better than most of the demon kids were, because she has Penryn to listen to and follow. Apparently names are important and powerful.

 

I need Penryn to get back with Raffe immediately and get his wings restored. I need it incredibly badly.I can't even imagine how they will get around the rule about angels and a daughter of man. I'm hoping Raffe's old friends get released from their holding area.

I am basically positive that what they are doing on earth is not what God said/wanted. I am seeing a lot of scam and fould play with the 'speaker of God'. Gabriel is definitely not dead, so I am ready for him to pop up and shock us.

​

I’m super excited to jump right into the next book. 5 stars!
