Book Review
That was....intense. And kinda amazing? I feel kinda weird saying that, but the story was a really good read.
I’m not big on three way relationships, like I don’t understand them really and I personally wouldn’t choose it (No judgement. I just struggle getting it), but the story worked so well. Going into this book I was wary, and it’s strange because I feel kinda shameful reading it? But the last one in the trilogy was under the goodreads list of ‘Best Romance Books of 2018’ and I had reached a point where I was desperate to read something that was a newer release that I hadn’t read yet, and lets be honest the description is intriguing in a ‘holy crap where is the author going with this and why are the reviews so high?’.
It’s crazy but I understand the high reviews. The book was weaved together great. The pacing of the book was great, nothing was rushed, everything happened at measured steps. The biggest issue I had with the book was sometimes it was confusing who was doing what when the pronoun ‘he’ was used a lot.
Other than that the romance was nice, and the plot made sense. I’m not 100% sold on the romance, but that’s mainly because I personally don’t believe you can be fully in love with two people -don’t kill me if you think differently, it just hasn’t happened to me (or anyone I know) and I highly doubt it will.
I’m currently not sure if I’ll continue reading the trilogy. The romance situation isn’t really one I relate to enough, but if my desperation for a book or my need to finish the series compels me then I might.
We shall see, we shall see. Definitely a 4 star book though. I feel like it should be a tad lower since I’m not all, ‘Ahh!! Obsessed!’ but I can’t fault it when it had no actual issues and I am just missing the emotional connection.
