Book Review
A classic, steamy, hot, enjoyable, contemporary romance book. Man does it feel good to find one I haven’t read before and that I also really enjoyed.
This book was just a good sexy time. That’s really all it was. It was super easy to read, slightly addicting, and very entertaining.
I really liked Kit’s personality and family life. Four massive older brothers sound like a nightmare, yet also unbearably sweet and fun. The way they all cared for her and how over protective they were made my heart melt for them. (Can we get a spin off series on them please!) They each had a certain thing about them to separate their personalities that gave them more character. Examples: Ryan the oldest and kindly protective, Mason the bull-headed take charge protective, Bryce the dim one, and Kale the twin and best friend. Each of them had a different impact in Kit’s life and she knew exactly how they behaved.
On the same hand we’ve got the band. Mike, Adam, and Joel essentially are her family now. They became her brothers and friends on the road throughout all the bonding. Poor Kit having 8 massive men protective over her.
8 because she also has Shawn. Man Shawn. He’s so dreamy. The entire time she was angry about him not calling after HS was a bit crazy to me. He slept with you and it was ILLEGAL girl! Of course, he’s not calling! He didn’t know her and she basically jail-baited him. He got the hell out of dodge. Pretending not to remember her was a bit dickish however. He would literally discuss her other siblings and school and pretend he’d never heard of her. Kit wouldn’t bring it up, but at least she wasn’t lying! She mentioned multiple things about that night to get him to say something! Of course, she wasn’t gonna be like, ‘Hey remember you had sex with me in HS??’ That’s almost desperate crazy chick level and not something someone who was rejected wants to do.
Overall his big answer at the end is acceptable. The whole thing was awkward so I get it, but man it all built up the insecurities she already had. Insecurities she had because of what the two of them did and how he handled it 6 years ago.
The big blowout at her parents’ house was intense! I was shook at her admitting all of that info in front of her family. I was hoping Kale would admit he was gay then, and he did! The family was crazy supportive of him and it just melted my heart.
Kit was super bad-a and I really enjoyed her as a character. Not to mention her audiobook reader is amazing! I only listened to 2 hours of the audiobook, but I loved the girls voice!! I have half the mind to look her up and see what other books she’s read.
Shawn was also a great character, and it’s understandable why she fell in love with him. He sounds like a dream.
I’m definitely rating this book 5 stars! A great fun read!
P.S.: The Georgia quotes were hilarious!
