Confess By: Colleen Hoover

Book Review

Ughhhhhhhh.

I did not like this book. Man I hate saying that.

I was super excited to read this because I loved the Slammed books when I read them years ago, but gosh this book was a drag.

It took everything in me to finish this book. I found the storyline stupid, the characters untouchable, and everything else over complicated.

So, you’re telling me Auburn’s parents are pieces of crap? Because no good parent is going to let you sign off custody of your kid without making sure you realize what it all entails. They also sure as hell wouldn’t want no part of helping you or knowing what you’re doing.

Lydia is a massive bish and I don’t understand how Auburn couldn’t get custody faster and easier. I understand it costs money, but any court would see that a mother with no track record who signed custody as a child because she was tricked deservs her child. A grandma would not immediately be sided with like that.

Poor Adam having a bish as a mother and a dick as a brother.

The relationship between Owen and Auburn was ehhhhh. It was way too fast and I know they knew it was fast but it was stupidly fast.

The whole thing about Owen telling Aj that secrets are what makes a man strong is insane. YOU DON’T TELL KIDS THAT STUPID.

Trey was ridiculous, that should’ve all been fixed way sooner. You really dated him to stay close to your son?  You let him manipulate you like that? Stupid.

And Owen spending all these years supplying a drug abuse? Why dude?

The only good portion of the book was how cool Owen’s confessions with his art gallery was.

I can’t believe he had that idea from Adam! Or that the painting was really his!

I rate this book a 3. Not my type at all, which is unfortunate because it’s literally my type.
