The Flatshare By: Beth O'Leary

Book Review

THIS BOOK IS SO CUTE AND FLUFFY AND PERFECT. I am BEYOND in love with this story and our characters. I was not expecting to love it so much.

First of all: Great audiobook! The characters accents were so much fun! Though the males voice had a lot of spit and I had to stop because of that.

I was not expecting genuine drama in this book. I went in thinking it’d be a cutesy love story, which it was but it had depth! Richie in jail and Justin being psycho were great ways to help us know the characters as well as giving them a story.

I love how Tiffy dresses and acts! She is who I slightly aspire to be. She is the yin to Leon’s yang.

Leon’s parts of the story took me a while to get invested in from the writing style but it got easier the more I read it. How Leon helped Prior was very sweet and fun. I don’t know how they didn’t realize JW 3 was THE JW? He was super obvious about it all, but I’m glad he went to Mr. Prior.

The way the flatsharing and notes started was a whole lot of fun. Such a different cool storyline! Writing notes automatically makes you say more than normal, and it’s so personal it made it more beautiful how they became friends.

The anticipation to them meet was killing me! And then we had the anticipation for sex and a commitment!

It was all just perfectly fluffy, with the right amount of seriousness, a lot of fun, quirky characters, and a good time.

The proposal was absolutely epic and beautiful. Extremely beyond happy I picked this up. 5 colorful stars!

Side notes:

Kay was horrible.

I hope Martin is miserable.

I hope Justin rots.

Richie and Rachel, huh?
