Look The Part By: Jewel E. Ann

Book Review

Ah! I loved this book so incredibly much.

I went into this book thinking nothing of it. I started it as an audiobook, (which I do not recommend because Ellen sounds like a mean girl), and I was expecting it to be slightly engaging but nothing I was in love with. Man am I in love with it though.

This is just such a good classic book. Steamy, cute, realistic romance. Some old heartbreak and demons lurking around. Obstacles to overpass, and to top it all a beautiful conclusion.

The dialogue in this book was hilarious. We saw a bond and relationship between every character, none were thrown in as a gap filler. The way the relationship between Ellen and Flint grew was funny and great. It was steady without unrealistic expectations. I loved all of their little things like the jokes about the rats, and the 'You look the part' quotes.

The relationship between Harry and Ellen was super cute to see. They had such a great connection and I loved watching the guitar lessons and cookie scenes. The fact that he played the guitar for Aria was so adorable. (Though I have to say, no way does a NICU allow a guitar inside. We can't even bring clothes in there!) The entirety of Harry and anything sex related had me dying laughing haha. Some of the best parts of the book honestly!

I liked the brief mentioning of the song My Sunshine, and how Harrison didn't know that his mom sang it to him.

The ending seemed slightly rushed, only because it was skipping so much time to make it to the birth, and then when all the important stuff happened it was skimmed over. I would have liked it to have been more drawn out, but that’s honestly the only change I’d want for this book.

I’m so happy they both got their second chances and happy lives. They have a beautiful family and I loved reading it happening.

I’m not sure why I love this one so much. I feel emotionally connected slightly, and it may be because it had real issues involved in it instead of random stuff that would never happen or is over dramatic.

5 stars! Ugh how will another book even compare right now?
