The Hating Game By: Sally Thorne

Book Review

Ah. I absolutely adored this book. It is a beautifully written feel good read.

The beginning is immediately engaging, there is no taking time to become interested in the storyline. It is almost like we have been in the story the entire time, but now we are switching to reading it instead of living it. I finished it the same day I started; I could not put it down.

The biggest flaw I can find in this book is that it was extremely predictable, but dang. Predictable is sometimes needed. This book is one favorite rom-com bundled up. The movie better not disappoint! The book should be used as the script, it’s so perfectly detailed.

It is nice sometimes to refresh yourself by reading something that is just pure happiness and this is one of those books. No extreme heartbreak, just a happy bubble. You may want to strangle cute Lucy for not seeing how in love Josh is, but it doesn’t matter soon because she is just too cute.

10 out of 10 shining gold stars for this book!

SIDE THOUGHTS:

-I know Mindy acted nice….but how nice can you be to switch brothers and then act like a year with Josh was nothing???

-Lucy giving it to Josh’s dad had me fist PUMPING.

-THEY ARE SO CUTE! HONESTLY SO MANY SQUEALS OF CUTENESS.

-I wish we could have seen them going to the strawberry farm and meeting her parents. I also wish we got to see her going back to the office and everyone’s reactions!

-I understand this is exactly like a rom-com movie and I feel the same annoyance at not having MORE.
